Layered Summer Blues

 Happy Sunday!!

Layering up in the Summers sounds like  a really weird idea right!! I know, specially when it is hot enough to melt you out in Doha's weather. But respecting the country's culture, we can't go too cropped or minimum with our clothing. That's when layering up in the summers comes in handy, just that we need to be a little creative while doing so. Some ideas to layer up in summers may be wearing a crochet or a light knitted(cotton) dress over a slip dress, or a sheer top over printed colourful bandeaus with a skirt or a short, or a much in trend Kimono over a short and simple basic tee. You name your summer wears and you can layer them with as many options as you may think of.

This is the outfit that I wore the other day when I went out with my girls for window shopping and some coffee time in the afternoon. Now as you may all know, girls, window shopping and coffee is a deadly combination. While having that cuppa joe enjoying the hot summery afternoon, we preferred to sit outside and talk our hearts out (gossiped) and also had a fun photoshoot. I chose to layer my outfit for that day as I wanted to be comfortable as well presentable keeping the country's norms in mind. I wore this super comfy nautical striped sleeveless dress that I got from Bangkok with a light Chambray Shirt Dress. Used the shirt dress as a outerwear. To complete the outfit, threw in my camel gladiators, a bucket bag and a belt in the same colour as the gladiators. For accessories I took out my golden hand harness and arm candies for a spin that day and also donned my reading glasses for a more intense look for more intense gossips :) . It was a fun day out.

Hope you liked this outfit and the post and am sure you had a great weekend.
Until next time keep it stylish....keep it functional.
