New Begining

 Happy Friday!!

How are you doing this new year? I missed you all a lot in all this while when I was MIA from blogging.

This is my first post of this year and I know I am too late at posting one. I really apologize for not being able to do so for the past two weeks. If you follow me on instagram I had mentioned about my rejoining my job and all the changes it had brought in my life. Moved out of my country and still settling down in a foreign land. This place is not new to me but it takes a little while to readjust after you have come out of your comfort zone and away from your most loved ones. Nevertheless am happy and active again, and am sure will start appearing more often than the last two weeks. Thank you all for your great support, love and patience. I seriously cannot ask anything else than your support in walking this journey "Progressive Panache" along with me.

Today's outfit is my take on a Sporty Chic look. Hope you like this look.

Thank you so much for stopping by and showing love to Progressive Panache. To conclude today's post I just want to pour my heart out and tell you how much I love you and appreciate for being with me. Thank you so much!!

Lots of Love
Anie.

Pleather Weather (Part I)

Happy Saturday!! Happy Weekend!!

So how is December treating you guys? Here in Kolkata the weather is amazing at this time. Nice sweet winters. Of late i have been really liking Faux Leathers or Pleather. I have always liked how Leather clothes or accessories look upon wearing, personally I would not buy one. There are many reasons to that. The first being pure leather is very expensive, Secondly "the Cruelty" factor bothers me somewhere in my heart.
On the other hand, if we look at Pleather, there are quite a few fact that makes it more alluring. Pleather is incredibly luxurious the way it wears over time. It is lighter than real leather. Does not crease and travels really well. Moreover it is waterproof and hence it has a longer life than leather and is a much more low maintenance item than its counterpart. If we think about the versatility of the fabric, it can be used to sew bodycon dresses as well which requires precision in cut. For aesthetic purposes or functionality Faux Fur or Real Fur can also be added depending upon one's choice. I would say, unlike real leather, the technology in making pleather can be suited according to one's design and preference, making it a more versatile and design friendly fabric in a much more affordable budget.

These days I have been wearing Pleather almost every other day and hence thought of styling a Pleather Leggings in five different ways for this post. I have divided this post into two parts. In the first part there will be two Looks and in the second part the other three Looks.

Look# 1

Animal prints with Leather goes really well. Hence for the first look I thought of going the Biker Chic way with animal print and pleather.

Look# 2

This season The Batwing Cardigans are really making a hype and I am totally crushing over them. I had been on a lookout for the perfect one until I found this one in Closet Diaries, an online store here in India. I love this one coz its batwing(ofcourse) and is neutral in colour(making it more wearable with many other clothes), and it has  Faux Fur detail which makes it look super gorgeous. So, for the second look I paired my Pleather leggings with this Cardigan. Threw in the most Staple Chambray shirt worn here with some silver jewelleries and neutral accessories.

Love Returns

Heya Lovelies!!! Happy Thursday

This outfit post is just another self-proclamation of being a Crazy-Cat-Lady.

This little gorgeous kitty charm is the first ever bag charm that I had owned after my first kitty came into my life. Named this charm after her "Laaila".

They say that cats are not as expressive and friendly as a dog, if at all we have to compare the both as pets. I am an animal lover, so I would not compare, but this statement just came into my mind when yesterday Laaila (my darling) had done something which was totally unexpected. She is a mother of two and is very compassionate when it comes to little baby's cries ( be it anything - human babies, animal babies). If she happens to hear any "baby-cry" she will try to find out whom and where is it coming from and try to find and fix the problem. We have noticed this when we were either watching a movie or watching any videos. On the contrary, cats are supposed to be hunters, but Laaila cannot even kill a lizard. Such a gentle soul she is. What happened yesterday- my husband and I were just pulling each others leg. He was bullying me for fun and I was just pretending to cry. I know, crazy and childish moments right?! That is when the magic happened. Laaila heard me cry. Poor thing, she thought I was actually crying. She came to me, touched me with her paw, looked at me with those curious loving eyes, asking me whether or not I was fine, why was I crying? She then gave my hubby a dirty angry look and sat back staring at us. We tried the same trick again in front of her and she would again react the same. I mean can you imagine? All her life I have treated her like my baby and today she has become so loving, so caring and so sensible that she treats me like her baby too.  Laaila and my hubby are the bffs, loves each other a lot, as they have lived together more than my hubby and I did. I used to live in a different country for work. I liked how she tried to scold her bff (the culprit) like a mother, when she thought it was appropriate to. She expressed herself effortlessly and naturally. We hugged her and confirmed to her that everything was fine and that, we were just playing around. Only when she saw and understood, she left us alone to go back to her own world.
When I said she is compassionate and gentle, at the same time, she acts very pricey and royal or rather have a "touch-me-not " kinda personality. She does not express a lot in general. So it was a pleasant shock and sweet surprise for us when Laaila had acted the way she did. We love her to bits and now we know she loves us back. The biggest thing is, it is unconditional from both the sides.

Thank you so much for stopping by and reading this little story today. I hope you liked knowing a little more about Laaila as much as we did.
Until next time.....keep it stylish .......keep it functional.

The Shirt Dress

 Hello Lovelies!!

Black is Black.....A Hit Single by the legendary Band Los Bravos. (Click here to Listen). This song takes me back to the times when my parents were young and used to enjoy and dance with us on this along with all other classic pieces.
Black as a colour, if I may presume, is a  favourite colour for most of the Ladies out there right? Even though I love wearing Colours, black will remain as a favourite colour in my entire life.
I found this Black Shirt Dress in one of the online stores and immediately fell in love with it. First of all, because of the colour ofcourse ;), second of all, because of the pattern of the dress. The ruffled short standing-collar already adds elegance to it. The pin-tucked details at the back gives a better fit to the otherwise flowy number, as well as gives a little more detail to the complete black dress. The asymmetrical hemline, being the usp of the dress, finally convinced me to add this beauty to my wardrobe. For a petite frame like me, an asymmetrical hemline is very flattering. It helps to make the legs look more longer and hence gives an illusion of a taller frame.
This dress is so comfortable, simple yet so chic on its own, that I am sure I will wear it more often in the coming season. I think it will look great if I add a leather jacket or a cardigan or a coat with stockings or tights and boots or even ankle booties.
I will be more than happy, if you would like to share how would you like to style this dress by leaving a comment below.
Thank you so much for reading this post...until next time..keep it sylish...keep it functional.

Fall Official

Hoodies, Hot Chocolate, Jeans, Boots, Crisp Air, Cuddling and Flushed Cheeks...I am ready for Autumn.
unknown.

I can relate so much to each and every word in the quote above that I can tell u stories coming out of each them. Stories that have Nostalgia in it. I am not sure if it happens to everyone, but I can smell those falling dry leaves in the Crisp Air of Autumn. Even though I don't live in my parents house for the past twelve years now, I can still see my father gathering those dry leaves in the fall mornings that had fallen from our trees and burn them, bidding them Goodbye and thanking them for the past season. This has been the greatest significance of Fall in my life. Every season fades away in time but the memories they carry along, remain forever and becomes a part of you.

Nevertheless, let's embrace this lovely season with lots of Warmth, Fall Trends and Fashion. I love wearing Ankle Booties and Boots. But just that the weather is still little warmer, I thought of going flowy with my clothes and hence paired my black Ankle booties with this super comfy Maxi skirt in grey colour and an over-sized relaxed-fit black satin embossed Boxy-Crop Top. To maintain that Monochrome I went for black accessories to complete the look. Deep darker colours are really appropriate in this season and hence popped a wine coloured lipstick on to rock the finished look.

As the fall evenings gets little pleasant, I like to grab my Cup of Joe with my significant other(brewed by him), sit on the terrace, cuddle up and talk our hearts out.

Thank You for stopping by and reading my little Fall Official story. Hope you liked it and wish to see you back again on this page.

Signing off for today and until the next time keep it Stylish....keep it Functional.
