Got(t)a Golden Vibes

Happy Monday !!

I hope you had a great weekend. With today's post I am styling the second outfit in collaboration with Vesa . To read the first outfit post click here.
This dress is all about those classy looks that you would love to flaunt in an occasion like a cocktail party, your anniversary date night, or probably whenever you want to attend a red carpet kinda event. It exudes that perfect balance of sophisticated yet edgy look to your outfit. True to their vision, Vesa has once again created a indo-western fusion dress by incorporating Gota Work to the upper half. Gota is a golden or silver ribbon appliqued over a fabric to create a certain kind of pattern. This Gota Work is an Indian embroidery that originates from Rajasthan, commonly used for traditional outfits.

Hope you enjoyed reading this post and liked this look as much as I liked. Thank you so much for stopping by and until the next time....keep it stylish.....keep it functional.

You can have a look at Vesa's Instagram and Website to browse their collection.

Also you can add my Instagram handle and Facebook page for more daily updates.

Black and Yellow Boho Chic

 Happy Friday!!

A quick Hello and hope you are all geared up for the weekend. This spring I am loving anything bright and cheerful. my happiness was manifold when Vogue and Me had sent this beautiful yellow tulle skirt that screams spring so so loud. I am sure I will wear this a lot more this spring/summer and stay happy. Oh! this reminds me of the Happy Song and the Minions somehow. Minions are my favourites. Hahaha I think I am rambling now. Styled it in a Boho Urban yet Chic look.

I hope you liked this look and thank you so much for stopping by and reading today's post.
Until next time keep it stylish....keep it functional...stay happy....

Dual Toned

Happy Friday!!

If you have been reading my blog lately, you must have had an idea that Indian traditional textiles and fabrics has a very special place in my heart. A contemporary look designed from Indian traditional fabric is the only reason why I am enamored of Vesa, an online brand in India. This post is a collaboration with Vesa as their designs are so up my alley. I am completely convinced with their vision of bringing out the various Indian Textiles to design contemporary and unique, out of the box designs and fusion wears.

For today's post I am wearing this Dual toned Tie and Dye cotton dress. In India Tie and Dye originates from the western part, commonly known as Badhni. I love how they have played with mint and black colour in the technique to bring out this fabric for the dress. What is more sensational of this dress is that you can wear it either ways which you might have noticed in the pictures. I wore this dress for my latest visit to The Orchid Garden in Singapore. Not to mention, Orchids are my favourite flower and what best than this dress would have tailored my purpose. The dual toned colours of my dress and the Orchids complimented each other.

Hope you liked this post....Untill next time.....keep it stylish ....... keep it funtional

Colour - Blued

Hi My Lovely People!!

How have you been guys? I can't tell you enough how I missed being active from blogging all these days that I was MIA. The last two months were little crazy at work. Nevertheless I am glad that I could finally visit a place in the mean time, that I had so wanted to, for a very long time now. Today's post features my short trip to Tunis and the very first travel post in ProgressivePanache. I hope you like it as much as I enjoyed roaming around this ancient historic Village, Sidi Bou Said, in northern Tunis.

What attracted me to visit this place were the white and blue houses. There is something very magical, and surreal about this place, which has a reputation of being the town of artists. Many artists have lived or visited and have worked here in the past. Though I am not that an art lover kinda person, I could feel how any creative person would feel and how he would connect to the ambience here. One can feel there is history here. The history may not be that rich, but it surely has tradition to it. I am a sucker for anything that has a traditional and folk touch to it. It is a small uphill village that can be covered walking in two to three hours if you walk through each and every lane. I just took the straight way that led me to the highest peak from where the Port of Tunis is clearly visible. I must tell you it is a breathtaking view from there. Specially if you are like me who loves to see the sun go down, it is just surreal. I sat in one of the most known places, Cafe Delices, to relish a local seafood dish along with a minty-nutty-tea to enjoy the sunset. But am really sorry I was so smitten by the view that I almost forgot to capture the sunset through my lens. Though, what I know for sure is that I will treasure that view in my heart for my entire lifetime.

Last but not the least, as a fashion blogger lets talk about the outfit I wore. I had planned a very dreamy summery maxi dress to go with the, lets say, theme of the location. But much to my disappointment it was a very windy and chilly day and I had to settle down with my High waisted skinny jeans and a turtle neck knitted crop-top. Threw in a long woolen coat along and wore my spring inspired canvas shoes which I am obsessing these days.

Thank you so much for stopping by,.....until next time...keep it stylish...keep it functional.
